Shrimp can be used to make soups as well, and it tastes great. Try this recipe and you will see it for yourself.
Ingredients:
- Two pounds shrimp
- One loaf French bread
- ½ can tomato paste
- Two quarts chicken broth
- One cup white wine
- One cup clam juice
- One cup butter
- Two tablespoons rosemary
- Five cloves garlic, minced
- One teaspoon black pepper, grounded
- One teaspoon celery seeds
- ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
Instructions:
- In a large pot, pour the chicken broth. Add rosemary, garlic, black pepper, clam juice, fennel seeds, celery seeds, tomato paste, and butter. Mix the contents well and bring them to a boil. After the contents get boiled, reduce the heat to low and let the contents of the pot simmer for about an hour. Keep stirring every now and then.
- Add wine to the pot and stir again. Let the contents simmer for another hour.
- Now add the shrimp to the pot. Cook for about 3 minutes. The shrimps should turn opaque by this time. You can now serve the shrimp soup. You can serve it along with French bread.
